Learning Disabilities

What is a learning disability?

Learning disability is a condition in the brain that causes difficulty comprehending or processing imformation and can be caused by several different factors. Given the "difficulty learning in a typical manner", this does not exclude the ability to learn in a different manner.

The World Health Organisation further states that the well-being of an individual is encompassed in the realisation of their abilities, coping with normal stresses of life, productive work and contribution to their community. Cultural differences, subjective assessments, and competing professional theories all affect how one defines "mental health".
